Dominic Joseph is a serial entrepreneur, investor and venture builder working at the intersection of technology, culture and capital.
He is the co-founder and former CEO of Captify, the global search intelligence and consumer intent platform that became the largest independent holder of search data outside Google and Amazon. Under Dominic’s leadership as CEO, Captify scaled from startup to a 300+ person, multi-market business serving many of the world’s most valuable brands including Apple, Disney, Adidas, American Express and Microsoft. In 2021 he led Captify through a nine-figure sale to US private equity firm SFW Capital.
Today Dominic is focused on building a new generation of premium, IP-driven businesses through a portfolio of interconnected ventures.
He is co-founder of Pivotal, a growth studio that provides the technology, data, brand, go-to-market and operating backbone behind ambitious scale-ups, and Co-Founder of Rare, a culture-first venture group creating and acquiring high-value IP across music, sport, immersive experiences and entertainment.
Dom co-founded Rare with legendary musician and producer Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), alongside a network of world-class artists, athletes and entrepreneurs. Together they are developing a slate of Rare Entities and Rare Originals, spanning football clubs, music platforms, immersive venues, live formats and original franchises that can travel across physical, digital and media worlds.
Alongside Rare, Dominic is also Founder of Streamwave Ai, a health-tech platform using real-time data and AI to optimise patient flow across emergency and urgent care, now deployed with NHS and private hospital partners.
Dominic specialises in building businesses that combine technology and data, powerful storytelling and scalable commercial structures. He sits on multiple boards, structures capital across operating companies and IP vehicles, and works closely with creators, institutions and family offices to turn culture into investable, global platforms.
Before entrepreneurship, Dominic was a professional drummer signed to Polydor Universal, touring internationally with artists including Blondie, A-ha, Fatboy Slim and The Bravery, a background that now informs his instinct for talent, culture and audience.
He is a former GB Entrepreneur of the year, and EY Entrepreneur of the Year for London and a multi-award winner for innovation and scale-up leadership.
